Manicure Monday | Falsies

Hey!
So this week I have a bit of a different post. I got Acrylic Nails. So I haven't used any nail vanishes, so I don't have any to write about, however, I do want to write about the nail bar that I went to. I know that this won't be useful to all of you,  but as most of my readers are actually from High Wycombe, it thought it would write it anyway.

I have been wanting my nails done for ages. I have a bad habit of picking my nails,( I know, it's bad)  so I thought getting Acrylics will stop me doing this, enough to allow my nails to grow a little bit.
They have taken a bit of getting used to, but I love them.

I got these done at the 'Nail Bar' in High Wycombe.
They cost me £27 which I thought was a reasonable price. I was probably in there about half an hour, which is extremely quick. All of the staff were friendly, and I would recommend them to anyone who is thinking of getting their nails done in High Wycombe. There were about 10 women in there whilst I was there so it is a very busy little place, and I can see why people like to go there. You don't need an appointment you go in when you like, I had 3 people in front of me and only waited about 5 minutes. I will keep you updated on how long they last, but I am impressed so far.

I am thinking of painting them soon. Does anyone know if the top coat they put on them will come off with nail varnish remover?

Friday Favourites | Maybeline Eyestudio Gel Eyeliner

I am not much of an eyeliner girl, (blogger fail) however, on a whim I decided to buy the Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner. What a mouthful! I have heard many great reviews on this eyeliner and I really wanted to give it a try.

The reason that I do not tend to wear eyeliner is because it is too tricky for me to do! Whenever I attempt to apply it one side will be thicker than the other or it will be nowhere near my lash line. However, this eyeliner is so ridiculously easy to apply, and since buying it I have worn eyeliner a lot more! The product is so creamy, it just glides onto your lash line so effortlessly. I think the brush that comes with the eyeliner is key to this! The tip is so pointed and thin, it makes applying the eyeliner so much easier and precise. I know people dislike the brush, but I absolutely love it. It's a lot easier to use then the eyeliner brush from Real Techniques which I had been using previously. I do like my eyeliner as thin as I can get it, so maybe that is why I prefer it, because the Real Techniques brush is a lot thicker.

Aslongside it being extremely easy to apply, this product is also long lasting and the colour stays intense all day long. The eyeliner does dry quickly, however, if you wanted to smudge it out then it is easy to smudge aslog as you do it straight away. The eyeliner does come in a small container, which is so classy looking, but it will last me ages because you don't need to use much product at all.

I do have a Mac Fluidline eyeliner and to be honest I prefer the Maybelline one, and it retails for half of the price.

I recommend this to all you eyeliner girls out there if you haven't already tried it :)

Lush Cocktail | #2

Hey.
Welcome to my second post in the mini Lush Cocktail series. This time i have used a very weird combination. I aimed to choose scents that you wouldnt normally put together to see what would happen! It actually smelt amazing, and left my skin feeling and smelling great all day! I do suffer from dry skin so i love to have a soak in the bath with some lovely bath melts from lush. And with this bath i was not dissapointed.

I used the Bombardino Bath Bomb, Melting Snowman Bath Melt and the Candy Mountain Bubble Bar!
Bombardino contains cocoa butter and sicilian lemon oil, which leaves your skin feeling really soft and full of moisture. Lush take their inspiration from the drink Bombardino which is made using eggnog and brandy. You really can tell, it smells delicious.Lush describe the scent as "lemon meringue pie". I absolutely love this smell and it turns your bath a lovely yellow colour, which obviously comes down to preference, but i love it.

The Melting Snowman contains cocoa butter and shea butter so is extra moisturising . It also smells like almonds and oranges. A weird combination but  it is so relaxing mixed with the lemony smell of Bombardino. It smells really fresh.

Candy Mountain, smells like sweets! It smells delicious, and leaves lovely pearly glitter in the water. This also contains vanilla which just adds to the smell!

And I still have many uses out of the bath melt and bubble bar left! Win win. I like how you can use them more then once, and I will be using them together again! I know it doesn't sound very nice, but it is amazing!

I am not sure about Candy Mountain but i realise that the others are from the Christmas Collection so might not still be in store, however, it is what i use so i thought you guys would be interested anyway. Its not too early to make a christmas list for next year, right? :)

Manicure Monday | Pink and White Winter

This week I wore two sets of nails. The first was some lovely baby pink nails, which I actually wore as part of a fancy dress. I dressed up as Baby Spice for an 90s themed party. This nail varnish is called Candy Floss by Collection 2000, which I believe are now just called Collection. I ran out of my top coat so didn't use one. But these nails didn't need one, they were extremely shiny and long lasting without one. Wearing these made me feel summery, now the summer needs to hurry up and be here!

Next up, are some wintery nails, they remind me of frost and snow! I used Barry M Matte White and a Revlon Silver glitter over the top to create these nails. I really wanted to use my new white nail varnish, and thought it would be nice to add some glitter. However, I wasn't too sure on whether I liked these nails afterwards. What do you think?

Harry Potter Studios | Watford

Hi!
Me and Boyfriend went to Harry Potter studios a few days ago. It was my birthday present off of him, which was lovely. I am a massive Harry Potter fan, so i was extremely excited about going. I took loads of photos so i thought i would share a few of them with you guys. For anybody wanting to go, i recommend it, it was amazing. It really makes you appreciate how much hard work and dedication actually went into the films, and it makes you love it even more than you could possibly imagine.
Enjoy.

Beauty Haul | Boots

Hello.
I have a beauty haul for you guys today. First off i would like to mention that everything is from Boots, which if any of you are not from the UK is our main drug store. At the moment Boots have 70% off all of the  gift sets! So as you can imagine, i went a little bit crazy! As i am pretty excited by my bargains i thought i would share these with you first and then go onto what i bought for full price. Enjoy!

So first up i bought the Mark Hill 'Glam Blonde' gift set for my hair.

I have never tried any Mark Hill shampoo or conditioners, however, my hair is looking a bit dull and life less at the moment so i decided to treat it a little bit. I have also heard many great reviews about these products. This set also contains some hairspray; win win! A girl always needs hairspray, and an anti-humidity shine spray. Now my hair always gets frizzy in the summer heat, so i thought i would give this a try when it gets a little bit warmer. Full reviews will be coming shortly! What caught my attention the most, was the price, reduced from £10 to £3! You cant go wrong. Bargain!

Next up is more hair stuff... you can never have enough, right? This one is from James Brown London. I think it is probably a bad thing that i have never heard of this guy before, but i thought i would give it a try. This was also reduced from £10 to £3. This set is the Colour Enhance set. This also contains shampoo and conditioner, however, this one is targeted at chemically treated hair, rather than blond hair. My hair is bleached so i thought, why not? I am always going to have to use shampoo and conditioner so it isn't ever going to go to waste. This also contains a hairspray and a dry shampoo, which to be honest was the selling factor for me. I am always looking for a new dry shampoo, i am on a mission to find one which does not make my hair even whiter than it already is, so i am looking forward to giving this a try! Do any of you know any good dry shampoos?

My favourite purchase of all time!
This set was £25 reduced to £7.50!
I am slowly getting into Soap and Glory more, i have always loved their make-up but have never really tried anything else from them. I have had my eyes on their Puffy Eye Attack cream for a while now, this alone retails at £12.50, so BARGAIN! I snatched this up instantly, when i saw what it had inside it. Hopefully it will not disappoint me. I don't think it will. I have only ever heard great reviews about Soap and Glory so i have high expectations. I am always looking for new lip balms and this set contains their Smooch Operation lip balm, which smells gorgeous and i cannot wait to try. It also contains their Feel Good Factor clear BB cream, which excites me, due to the fact that all other BB creams that i have tried have made me look orange! Damn you pale skin! And of course their face wipes, which i am sure i will love. I cannot wait to review this!

That is all of the sale items that i have bought!

Now onto the full price items, and as you an see i have carried on the Soap and Glory theme! First up is the SUGAR CRUSH BODY SCRUB which costs £8! Sorry i got a little excited then! If you read my blog you will know why ; this was on my 2014 Wishlist!

I actually cannot wait to try this! It smells amazing, i was undecided until i smelt it, then i knew i just had to get it. Yum yum yum!

Next up are the Soap and Glory Fabulipsticks in the colours Perfect Day and Man Trap. I already have one of these in the colour Pom Pom, which is one of my favourite lipsticks of all time, so i cant wait to try these. They retail at £9 each, but don't let the price put you off. At the moment they are buy one get one half price at Boots. Man Trap is a lovely Coral red while Perfect Day is a my lips but better pink colour.

These beauties were also buy one get the second half price. I love Barry M Nail paints, they are so shiny and long lasting. They also come in beautiful colours and are only £2.99 each. The colours that i got are Raspberry and Matt white. I have wanted a white nail varnish for a while, so i just went for it.

Last but not least i bought some Revlon Colourburst Matte Balms in the colours Sultry and Standout. Standout is the red colour and sultry the pink mauve. These retail at £7.99 each. I absolutely love the Revlon Just bitten Kissable balm stains, i own every colour and for a few months used them everyday, and sometimes still do use them everyday for a week or so. Here is my review. So i jumped at the opportunity to buy these! I love Matte lipsticks at the moment, so why not? I am extremely excited to wear these, and then review them, i know i will not be disappointed.

Finally, the end of the post. I feel like this has been extremely long. However, i hope you have found it useful or enjoyable, i know i love to read haul posts.
